Thanks for recommending this article, Clay. It's a very concise and accurate Biblical study refuting dispensationalism. I hope people can see that everything in the Bible is centered on the cross of Christ, period.

I agree John, it is all about Jesus. I'll be teaching about this in the Fall when we study through the OT book of Daniel.

Great article! It is funny that the dispensational flurry during the 1970s brought me back to Christ, yet as I get to know scriptures better, I have rejected this eschatological theory. It seemed at one time that "mainline" churches just didn't understand what whas really going on in the world. Now I understand the wisdom in "orthodoxy" especially covenant theology. It makes the whole of scriptures cohesive. Jesus was Israel and thus the "light to the world" that Israel was called to be, was accomplished thru the faithful Israelite (Jesus). All of Israel's promises come true in Jesus. All of the world benefits from Him, which is the fullfilment of the Abrahamic covenant and even the promise (covenant) established by God regarding the seed of the woman. The narrative of scripture is amazingly cohesive in Christ.
There are dispensational arguments that this line of thinking is "replacement theology".
It is an erroneous label. This is fulfillment theology, which the scriptures attest to.

Jesus said, "It is finished".
Tell everyone the good news. Jesus is Lord and Caesar is not.
