I just returned from church today… the speaker, a staff member, (not the pastor) said he was touched by the Holy Spirit to deliver this message about legalism and asked the pastor when he could speak. (Our minister doesn’t speak every week). The man is not a dynamic speaker – but the message was for me today. I’m beginning to feel “free” of the old traditions and your article even states it better. We want to do something to participate in the saving of our souls. To quote you, “They like knowing the rules, the boundaries, and doing the traditions.”

And in Galations, “You are observing special days and months and seasons and years! I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.” (Gal. 4:10–11). I understand this verse well, but I miss the blessings of the Sabbath day. I miss the preparation day.
